The mission of Down 2 Earth Gardens is to show and teach people how to tread gently on this great earth, one step at a time with ease and grace. Our vision is for all people to practice elements of sustainable living each day, and teach their children and others by example.

Doreen Pollack is the owner of Down 2 Earth Gardens, a garden consulting company in Phoenix, Arizona. Doreen provides advice to homeowners on how to reduce the use and dependency of outside resources in their landscape. Her low water and low human energy use designs are creative and natural. She specializes in working closely with do-it-yourself gardeners and people just starting to use their yard for food production and respite from their busy lives. She is often called the Garden Goddess!

Working with Doreen was terrific. She helped me pick the right plants and trees for my yard and taught me how to plant them and take care of them. I have felt hopeless in the past because I don't know what to plant and it seems that I kill everything. I love what Doreen and I planted and it all seems to be thriving. It is fun to love looking at and being in my yard!
